Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MDMJAY MEDIA LTD (“MDMJAY Media”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit https://mdmjaymedia.com (the “website”) or buy products from us.

MDMJAY MEDIA LTD is the “data controller” responsible for your personal information. Registered office: 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, England. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZC259137.

If you have any questions about this policy or your personal information, email info@mdmjaymedia.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name and email address when you contact us or sign up to our newsletter.

  • Purchase details: your name, email address, billing country and a record of what you bought when you buy a product from us. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

  • Comments and messages: anything you choose to write to us or post on the website.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage information: pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and how you arrived at the website.

  • Device information: IP address, browser type, device type and operating system.

  • Approximate location: your general area (such as country or city), worked out from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Some of this is collected using cookies. Non-essential cookies are only used if you consent. See our Cookie Policy: https://mdmjaymedia.com/homepage/legal-stuff/cookie-policy/

Quizzes, calculators and certificates

Our free interactive tools run in your browser. We do not collect or store your answers or results, and any result images they create are yours to share and use as you like.

Some of our paid resources collect a little extra information so we can create personalised results or certificates for you — for example, your name, your contact details and the serial number of the certificate generated for you. We use this only to create, deliver and verify your purchase. Payment information is handled separately by our payment processor, Stripe.

2. How we use your information and our legal basis

UK data protection law requires us to have a legal reason (a “lawful basis”) for each way we use your information:

  • To reply to your messages and enquiries. Basis: legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us).

  • To process your purchases and create and deliver the products you buy, including personalised certificates. Basis: contract.

  • To keep business and tax records. Basis: legal obligation.

  • To understand how the website is used so we can improve it (analytics). Basis: consent, given through our cookie banner.

  • To show adverts, including personalised adverts where you allow it. Basis: consent, given through our cookie banner.

  • To send you our newsletter. Basis: consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam and misuse. Basis: legitimate interests.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and business, and only as much as they need:

  • Our website hosting provider

  • Payments: Stripe

  • Analytics and advertising: Google (Google Analytics and Google AdSense)

  • Cookie consent management: Consently

  • Our email / newsletter provider

  • Professional advisers such as our accountant, where necessary

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our legal rights, or with a buyer if our business is ever sold.

4. International transfers

Some of our service providers (such as Google and Stripe) are based in, or store data in, the United States or other countries outside the UK. When your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK “adequacy regulations” (including the UK–US Data Bridge where it applies) or other legal safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, so your information stays protected.

5. How long we keep your information

  • Messages and enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact, then deleted.

  • Purchase and tax records (including certificate records): 6 years, as required by UK tax law.

  • Analytics data: 14 months, then automatically deleted by Google Analytics.

  • Comments: for as long as the comment is published on the website.

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

  • Cookie consent records: kept by Consently for the period needed to show we have complied with the law.

6. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete

  • Ask us to delete your information

  • Ask us to restrict how we use your information

  • Object to us using your information, including for direct marketing

  • Receive your information in a portable format

  • Withdraw your consent at any time (for example through our cookie settings button or the unsubscribe link in emails). This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew consent.

To use any of these rights, email info@mdmjaymedia.com. There is normally no charge. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or 0303 123 1113.

Visitors from other regions: if you live in California, Canada or elsewhere, you may have similar rights under your local laws, such as the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information. Email us and we will help.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection on the website, strong passwords and limited access to our accounts, and trusted service providers with their own security standards. No website can be completely secure, but if a data breach happens that is likely to put your rights at risk, we will report it to the ICO within 72 hours where required and tell you without undue delay if the risk to you is high.

8. Children

Our website is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Links to other websites

Our website links to, and embeds content from, other websites (such as YouTube or Steam). Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we start using a new service or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If we make significant changes, we will make this clear on the website.
